Map & territory

The map is your war table. Every village has fixed coordinates. Distance sets march time and morale.

Coordinate map

The map grid shows villages, barbarian holdings, and your own markers. Click a tile to open the village panel. From there you can scout, attack, support, or trade depending on relations.

Distance between villages is Euclidean. Slower units and longer marches reduce attacker morale. Plan staging villages closer to the front.

Political view

Toggle the political overlay to color villages by banner. Neutral villages, barbarians, and foreign banners become visible at a glance.

Your banner’s territory is the sum of every sworn member’s villages. Use the overlay when picking conquest paths that avoid allies.

Scouting

Send scouts alone or ahead of an army. If they survive the opening skirmish, the Raven Post lists enemy troops and stored resources.

Failed scouts still allow the main battle to proceed. You simply march in with less intelligence.

Barbarians

Barbarian villages are neutral holdings useful for early loot and practice. They have no loyalty, banner, or player protection rules.

They still produce troops and walls. Underestimate them at your peril.
